Back for another year, Chris and Troy were lucky enough to score the best weather this year has offered up. The La Nina system experienced over the last few months has delivered unseasonal warm water which in turn means lots of rain. Fortunately the boys had some reprieve during their stay and were able to get access to all of the island. Really big GTs were quiet and pelagics were not around at all, also a result of high water temps, but good numbers of mid size GTs were found. Other species encountered on poppers and stickbaits included dogtooth, green jobfish, red bass and bluefin trevally.  Thankfully La Nina is a once in every 8-10 year phenomenon, as we are really looking forward to a return to a more stable weather pattern next year, and with it, more big pelagic fish.
